A UCLA graduate with a doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University, Dr. Rich Morhaime is a U.S.-licensed clinical psychologist whose private practice has catered primarily to the English-speaking expatriate community of São Paulo for over eight years.
Dr. Morhaime has extensive experience working with children, adults, and families. He served as a staff psychologist at the Child and Family Guidance Center in Los Angeles, California and completed his full-time pre-doctoral internship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. More recently, Dr. Morhaime worked as lower school counselor for Escola Graduada de São Paulo (“Graded School”), the largest American international school in Brazil.
A southern California native who moved to São Paulo after marrying a Brazilian national, Dr. Morhaime has a unique firsthand understanding of the cultural adaptation process and its many challenges.
With his generally cognitive-behavioral approach, Dr. Morhaime’s interactive and conversational style gives therapy sessions a warm and comfortable tone.
